Back Stay on Your Feet - Traction Aids Monday, November 14, 2011 Debra Houston Summer has passed and Winter seems to be fast on its heels. Winter brings with it wet, slippery and sometimes frozen surfaces which create hazardous conditions for our employees. In order to avoid painful and costly slip and fall injuries the company has added slip-on traction aids to its available personal protective equipment (PPE). These traction aids go on easily over the employee’s existing shoes or work boots. All drivers and mechanics are expected to wear these traction aids. If you have not already been issued a pair, or need replacement cleats for those issued last year, please follow up with your dispatch supervisor, supervisor or fleet manager to order a pair or to order the replacement cleats.
