Medical Card Information
posted on January 20, 2012 16:00
Beginning January 30, 2012 all commercial drivers, will be required to provide copies of their current medical certificate (if issued after January 30, 2012) to their respective state drivers licensing agency when renewing their license.
Individual states will then have two years to incorporate medical certificate information into their state commercial driver's license system. You will get more information on this requirement from your home state very soon, if you haven't already. This policy change is an enactment of the federal program to combine CDL and medical information into the commercial driver's license information system, referred to as (
CDLIS
).
Stay tuned for more information from your local authorities, and
let us know
if you have any questions or have any concerns.
